Welcome to Class 1!

Throughout this year, your children will be working closely with:

This term our topic is St Anne’s and Beyond which has a History and Geography focus.  We will begin by using some simple fieldwork and observational skills to look at our local environment. 
The children will learn to use maps and construct basic symbols in a key.  We will learn about our local area, before broadening our learning out towards London. We will focus on the Great Fire of London and the Royal Family.

Our PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Reading books are changed on Mondays, and we will check Remarkable Readers at the same time.

Spelling tests are on a Friday.

11th September - Test 1

18th September - Test 2

25th September - Test 3

2nd October - Test 4

9th October - Test 5

16th October - Test 6

Children will bring home their red spelling books, where you can see their score each week. Please ensure these are returned the following week ready for the next spelling test.
