Eva: is a wonderfully creative member of our class. She loves making and creating things both at home and in school, and this really shines through in her work. In her writing, she often chooses interesting and imaginative vocabulary which makes her ideas exciting to read. She is always keen to share her thoughts and ideas during lessons and is such a kind and positive person to have in our classroom. Her constant smile and enthusiastic attitude to learning brighten the room. Miss McDonald and Mrs Smith were especially impressed during our art lessons on collaging, where she asked thoughtful questions, shared answers confidently and was eager to have a go. Well done for being such a creative, positive and enthusiastic learner!
Teddy: has been working incredibly hard on improving his handwriting. He has been really focused on making sure his writing sits neatly on the line and that his letters are being formed correctly. We have also been very impressed with how he is beginning to use our pre-cursive leading lines for some letters. In English, we have started looking at writing descriptions, and he has been contributing to our class discussions, putting his hand up lots to share his ideas and suggesting some fantastic vocabulary. He is also a very happy and funny member of our class who always brings a smile to everyone around him. He is very considerate of the adults in the classroom and always asks them if they are alright and if they are having a good day, which is such a kind thing to do. Well done for showing such great effort and determination Teddy!

He shows great respect to both his peers and adults around school and is always polite and well-mannered when speaking to others. Alex sets a fantastic example to those around him and regularly encourages his classmates by offering compliments and recognising when others have done well. He has been particularly helpful during gymnastics lessons, confidently demonstrating moves and supporting others, which shows both his enthusiasm and willingness to contribute positively to the class. Alex approaches his learning with a very mature attitude and always tries to make the right choices, modelling what a focused, and responsible learner should look like. Alex is a very knowledgeable and hardworking pupil. He immerses himself fully in topics and shows a genuine curiosity about the world around him. His inquisitive nature means he asks thoughtful questions and enjoys exploring ideas in lots of detail. Alex takes pride in his work and always strives to do his best even when the learning is tricky. He is a pleasure to have in the class and an excellent role model.

When we began our new topic, Archie demonstrated fantastic enthusiasm and came up with lots of thoughtful questions that he was eager to explore and find answers to. Archie is also a great communicator who works very well with his learning partners. He enjoys discussing ideas, asking questions and helping to find solutions together. Through his determination, curiosity and positive attitude towards learning, Archie shows others what a passionate and engaged learner looks like and is a wonderful role model for a love of discovering new things.

Seb: has really impressed the grown-ups in class over the last week with his answers, his confidence has shone through, and it has been a pleasure to see. Seb is one of our class members who genuinely loves learning and wants to find out new things all the time, or tell us about the new things he’s found, or has been doing outside of school. We love how confident he is becoming and how this confidence is helping him take risks with his learning, like putting new vocabulary in, or using new knowledge from English in other lessons, as well as helping others around him. This really sets a great example to his friends, and we love to see the responsibility and respect Seb has for learning, the adults in and around the classroom and his friends. He really is showcasing his love for learning and for the people around him. Keep up the great work Seb.
Betsy: is a kind, helpful and honest member of the class, she is an always child. She always tries her hardest, always makes good decisions and is always a good friend. What we admire most about Besty is that she will always give something a go before asking for help, even if she thinks it might be tricky. She wants to try and solve problems by herself before asking her peers or the grown-ups around her. She has excellent perseverance skills, trying different things to get the answers she needs. Betsy holds our school values in high regard with everything she does, and she is a great role model to her peers. We have noticed, especially over the last few weeks, the way Betsy interacts with the younger children, treating them with compassion, kindness and empathy, especially if they appear lonely or they’ve hurt themselves. She is one of the first to help them feel better. We are very proud of the young lady Betsy is.

Amelia:-is a wonderful member of our class who always brings positivity and kindness into the classroom. She loves to sing and often fills our classroom with joy and enthusiasm. She has been trying really hard with her handwriting, especially with our tricky pre-cursive letters, and I am so proud of the effort and determination she is showing. She is always helpful, considerate of others, and shows real empathy when someone is feeling sad or lonely, and tries to encourage them to join her game, and comforts them when they aren’t feeling themselves. She truly makes our classroom a happier place to be, and we are very lucky to have her in our class. Well done!
James: comes into the classroom every day happy, positive and full of energy, and he uses that energy in such a fantastic way to challenge himself with his learning. Even when something is tricky, it never fazes him – he takes on every challenge with determination and a great attitude. James sets a brilliant example to his peers by showing that if you keep trying and believe in yourself, you can achieve great things. He truly loves learning, enjoys finding out new things, and reminds us all that learning can be so much fun when you have a positive attitude and find a genuine love for the things you do. Jack is such a busy bee in school and out of school, he’s always up to something, and we love hearing him share his stories of what he’s been getting up to. It is helping others have the confidence to share as well with that great modelling of behaviour and attitude. We love how positive he is, even when learning feels challenging. He always tries his best and truly wants to be the best Jack he can be. That attitude is something to be so proud of, and it makes him a fantastic role model in our class.
Felicity: is a very positive member of the class. She is kind and helpful and makes great choices both in and out of the classroom. Felicity wants to be an amazing learner in everything she does, and she keeps trying to be the best version of herself everyday. He was especially enthusiastic on our school trip to 'The National Coal Mining Museum', the volunteer tour guide even mentioned his name and said he was so polite, kind and enthusiastic. He said that it was a pleasure to see his interest in the learning and that he hoped that all the children coming for future visits would show that kind of enthusiasm. In Class, Julien has been trying really hard with his presentation to ensure that things are clearly written and trying to use our learning in our handwriting lessons across all lessons. Well done Julien, we are so pleased to see the effort you are putting in to show was a great learner you are.

Imade is becoming a much more fluent reader. She is reading high frequency words fluently and using her phonetic knowledge and decoding skills to read and blend tricky words. We are happy to see that she is using these skills in lots of lessons, especially her maths, when it comes to reading the questions and answering them independently. Imade is always so happy to be in school and is always smiling and it's so lovely to see how happy she is and how her smile lights up a room. She makes everyone smile with her brilliant sense of humour, and we love having her in the class. She is a joy to be around.

George: is an absolute pleasure to teach. He always demonstrates what a good learner looks like. He really puts a lot of effort and thought into the work he produces, especially when it involves creativity. He is open to feedback and always looks to better himself. He likes to work with adults to take advice on how he can adapt his writing and choose the best vocabulary possible. He recently produced an amazing story opener using lots of things we have been learning in lessons – whilst writing, the adults could see him flicking back in his book to check things he had written and use ideas in his final piece. We are very proud of you George.
Noah: always makes great choices in lessons and on the playground. He is a kind member of the class and cares deeply about the people in it, not just the children, but the adults as well. James has been trying really hard to put his hand up and share his answers with the class. He is demonstrating excellent knowledge by listening to the teaching, asking great questions and acknowledging answers with genuine interest in his responses. James is someone who is very genuine with whatever he does, whether he is helping a friend, getting on with his work or answering questions in class. He does this because he wants to help, learn and find things out, not because he has to, but because he has a genuine interest. It is a pleasure to have James in the class, seeing his confidence grow and how hard he is working to be the best James he can be!
Seb: is an always member of the class. What we mean by that is he always tries his hardest, always wants to do well and always listens. Lately, Seb has been focusing on his presentation, and we have to say, it is beautiful - we think it could be better than a lot of the adults! It is a pleasure to have him in class and see how his confidence is growing with things such as reading and putting his hand up to share ideas.
