Class 3

Friday 2 October 2026

Teddy: has made an incredibly proud of the start Teddy has made to Class 3.  He is eager to learn, he always tries his best and he has been working so hard on his independence.  This week in English, the class were learning about partitive nouns, Teddy was really engaged in the input and when it came to the learning task, Teddy asked to work by himself because ‘he could do it’.  In maths, he has been working really hard on his place value unit looking at the value of tens and ones and using counters and base ten to help him.  In art, he loved sorting the fruit and vegetables to create a portrait inspired by arcimbaldo. Keep up the good work Teddy - we are so proud.

Eva-Ann: has really impressed everyone in Class 3 with her outstanding writing. Throughout the week, the class have been focusing on their Big Write, using everything they had learnt to write their own set of instructions.  Eva-Ann independently applied the features of the genre to a very high standard, carefully including adverbs of time and cause, descriptive adjectives and clear, well-organised steps in her method. She demonstrated a strong understanding of the skills taught and used them confidently in her own writing.  What impressed us even more was the care she took to improve her work. Eva-Ann thoughtfully edited and refined her writing, showing great maturity and a real desire to make her work the best it could be.  We are incredibly proud of the effort, determination and enthusiasm she has shown. Keep up the fantastic work, Eva-Ann!

Charlotte: has made a fantastic start to Class 3. S he is always eager to learn, gives her best in every lesson and approaches new challenges with a positive attitude. Charlotte is always keen to contribute to class discussions, share her ideas and demonstrate the knowledge she has gained through her learning.  What has impressed us most is her perseverance. When learning becomes challenging, Charlotte never gives up. Instead, she listens carefully to advice from adults, keeps trying and works hard until she succeeds. Her determination and enthusiasm are wonderful qualities, and we are incredibly proud of the progress she is making. Keep up the fantastic work, Charlotte!

George: is a highly conscientious learner who takes great pride in his work. He always takes the time to ensure he includes both the information taught in class and his own wider knowledge, producing thoughtful and detailed pieces of work.  His love of learning shines through in everything he does. This week, he brought in a range of artefacts linked to our Stone Age topic and spoke enthusiastically and confidently about each one, explaining what it was, how it was used and how it connected to our learning. It was wonderful to see the depth of knowledge he has developed and his willingness to share it with others. We are particularly impressed by the connections George makes across different areas of the curriculum, using his knowledge to enrich both his own learning and that of his classmates. Well done, George!

Hansel: has made a fabulous start to Class 3. He is eager to learn and has shown great enthusiasm in lessons, regularly putting his hand up to answer questions and share his ideas with the class.  In English, he demonstrated excellent perseverance when writing perfect sentences, working hard to remember his capital letters, full stops and finger spaces. During our learning about woolly mammoths, he also tried his very best to think of suitable verbs and adverbs for the instructions we were writing, contributing thoughtfully to class discussions and activities.  Alongside his commitment to learning, he has consistently demonstrated our school values through his kindness and willingness to help others. Hansel has settled into Class 3 wonderfully, and is already making a positive contribution to our classroom community.  We are incredibly proud of the fantastic start he has made and look forward to seeing him continue to grow in confidence and success throughout Class 3.
