The Vision of St Anne’s C of E Primary School is to develop the whole child; spiritually, mentally and physically in a caring, Christian environment through close links to Church and community.
“Let all that you do be done in Love”
1 Corinthians 16:14.
St Anne’s strives to “develop the whole child spiritually, mentally and physically” by helping pupils to:
- Love God
- Love learning and
- Love themselves and others
St Anne's School is located next to the Church and enjoys very close links with the Church. The Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools report in 2019 commented on:
'St Anne’s is a school that lives out its vision and values. ‘The school invest in our families – all work together as one’ explained one parent. As a consequence this Christian community enables all to prosper, knowing that they are loved by God and each other.'
'Extremely strong, mutually beneficial links with the local church contribute significantly to the school’s distinctive Christian character.'
This year marks the beginning of a new chapter as St Anne's joins the MITRE Trust, and it is a partnership built on shared Christian foundations. Both St Anne's and MITRE believe that every child is uniquely created, deeply valued and full of God-given potential. St Anne's vision to develop the whole child—spiritually, mentally and physically—in a caring Christian environment, encouraging children to love God, love learning and love themselves and others, sits naturally alongside MITRE's commitment to helping every child flourish and opening doors to fulfilling futures.
Our values complement one another beautifully with St Anne's seeking to nurture perseverance, responsibility, forgiveness, acceptance, honesty and respect as values to be lived out every day, whilst MITRE emphasises wisdom, kindness, integrity, collaboration and service. Together, these are not competing priorities but different expressions of the same Christian calling: to grow young people who know they are loved by God, who care for others with compassion and integrity, who work together in community, and who are equipped to make a positive difference in the world. As we begin this journey together, we do so with confidence that our shared vision will strengthen the opportunities, care and flourishing of every child entrusted to us.
Our School Values
We have six Christian Values that are embedded in school life.
The children at St Anne's are encouraged to live out each value daily.

At St Anne's, we believe that it is not enough to talk about the core values and know what the Bible says about them. The Christian faith tells us that human beings are created in the image of God, and that we should all use our power, skills and resources for the good of all, thus we need to put our beliefs into action.
We strive to ensure that our values are lived out in the day-to-day life of the school community and beyond. We promote a value each half-term as follows;
Autumn 1 - Perseverance
Autumn 2 - Responsibility
Spring 1 - Forgiveness
Spring 2 - Acceptance
Summer 1 -Honesty
Summer 2 - Respect
