Class 5 – Mrs Camish

Memories of Class 5

We didn't know we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun! This is not a goodbye, this is a thank you. x

Week beginning 20.07.20

Welcome to the final week of the Summer term and of the year!

I am sure many of you, like me, cannot believe it is here.  Despite the circumstances, so much has been achieved by so many of you. I want you to know that I am so proud of you all and have loved being a part of your St Anne’s journey this year. As you have now had the opportunity to meet Mrs Kirkham on Zoom, I would like to wish you luck and encouragement - I know some of you might be a little nervous, but there is so much to look forward to. I would also like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you for the way you have coped over the last weeks and months. I know that, at times, it has been hard, but what quickly became clear through the conversations I have had with you and your parents and the pictures of work sent through demonstrating your effort, a lot has been achieved and for that, you should also be incredibly proud of yourselves.

With love,

Mrs C Xheart

So if I were a rep what would I actually have to do?

As a rep you have three main jobs:

• Collecting the views of your class and passing them on to other committees.

• Letting your class know what goes on in the meetings you attend.

• Taking an active part in meetings.

To do these jobs well you should have regular meetings with your class where you will listen to people’s concerns and issues and note them down. Remember that not everyone likes talking in meetings, so make sure you are approachable in other ways. Make it clear that people can talk to you at break times. Maybe you could have a suggestions box?

You will then need to put forward your class’s views at school council meetings.

Are you interested?

If so, prepare a short manifesto to present to the rest of the class as we return in September.

Good luck smiley

Hi guys,I  hope you are all well and that you're all having a super, sunny half-term. It's very hot so I bet there are paddling pools out in lots of gardens and lots of fun going on! I'm wandering around looking for shady spots to read quietly   ( the dogs are with me all the time too). I'm looking forward to hearing about all the fun you've been having on our next zoom and through the blog or your pictures. Stay safe in the sun. See you soon. • Learning log tasks will be given out on a Friday and children will have 2 weeks to complete these. All work needs to be completed in their books and brought back into school by the arranged deadline.
  • The children will receive a weekly spelling task and we expect children to practice spellings and times tables daily on Times Table Rockstars.
  • In addition to this, your child must complete a minimum of 3 reads per week to be a Remarkable Reader.

If you would like any additional support with home learning please let me know. Please support your child with their home learning as much as possible.

Lesson will take place on a Tuesday and Thursday so please ensure that a named PE kit is in school for these days.
