Home Page

The Governing Body of St Anne's C of E (A) Primary School is the admissions authority for the school.

Applications must be made through your home local authority on the Common Application form. For Nottinghamshire residents, this can be found on the NCC website:

and applications should be completed by the closing date for applications as stated in the Nottinghamshire Co-ordinated scheme. The offer of a place will be made by the Local Authority to all parents on the offer day set out in the co-ordinated scheme.

The published admission number is 30 children per year. All applications for the Reception year will be ranked in accordance with the admission criteria as set out in the policy.

PLEASE NOTE: Application to Vary our 2021/22 Admission arrangements.

Due to the temporary closure of Churches and other places of worship during the Covid19 Lockdown, (which has impacted on our normal process for verifying church attendance/faith commitment as specified in our admission arrangements), St Anne's C of E (A) Primary School Governing Body has applied for a variation to our 2021/22 admission arrangements. Please see attached letter from the Chair of Governors.

Once we have received confirmation of the proposed variation from the Office of the Schools Adjudicator we will then be able to upload our revised 2021/22 admission arrangments and Supplementary Information Form to our website.  In the meantime please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please contact the school office  -  if you need to discuss this matter further

Our policy outlines the process for application to the school in line with the Local Authority Admission arrangements. There is a supplementary form that parents/carers can complete and this is available from the school office. Families must apply to the school through the Local Authority.

National offer day for school entry September 2021 is 16th April 2021

Most children are offered a place at one of their preferred schools.  If your child is refused a place at your preferred school (s) you have a right to appeal.

We recommend that you always accept the offer of a school place; this will not affect your right of appeal for a place at another school where you have been refused.  Some admission authorities may withdraw the offered place if a parent fails to inform the County Council of their acceptance of the offer within the 14 days.

Parents have the right to make a formal appeal against a decision not to offer them a place for their child at the school of their choice. Full details of the appeal procedure will be provided at the time admission is refused. The deadline for lodging appeals allows appellants at least 20 school days from the date of notification that their application was unsuccessful to prepare and lodge their written appeal.

To lodge an appeal, please write to the Diocesan Appeals Clerk, Mr. T. Redgate, c/o Rotheras Solicitors, 2 Kayes Walk, Stoney Street, The Lace Market, Nottingham, NG1 1PZ or (email: so that the formal appeal process can be put into motion.

Appeals will be heard by an Independent Appeal Panel in accordance with the School Standards & Framework Act 1998.

Timetable for organising and hearing admission appeals

Our appeals timetable will be published on our website by 28th February 2021.

This will include –

  • A deadline for lodging appeals which allows those making an appeal at least 20 days from the date of notification that their application was unsuccessful to prepare and lodge their written appeal.
  • Include reasonable deadlines for those making an appeal to submit additional evidence and for the clerk to send appeal papers to the panel and parties.
