On Tuesday 21st May Class 4 went on a super, fun filled, action packed trip to Sherwood Pines Forest Park. What a busy day they had! In the morning the children had a problem to solve, to create a shelter, using only the materials around them to keep them warm and protect them from possible rain. Each shelter passed the test, though some shelters were more waterproof than others!
The afternoon activity was pond dipping. Year 4 can safely say there is no shortage of tadpoles in Sherwood Pines. They netted hundreds! Many other creatures were identified and Mr Garfitt managed to spot creatures that were not even on the identification sheet!
Year 4 and Mrs Kaye would like to say a big thank you to Mrs Sprigg, Mrs Pink, Mrs Dupere, Mrs Flynn, Mrs Wood, Mr Pert (a ‘fountain of knowledge’ at the pond dipping) and Mr Garfitt for their time and their help on the day.
