Weston Park Museum
On Wednesday Class 4 enjoyed a very interesting day at Weston Park Museum. As part of their Ancient Egyptian topic they took part in a workshop about the Afterlife. They all loved finding out about the beliefs of the Ancient Egyptians and were very willing to assist in the mummification process of a doll affectionately known as Fred!! They showed a great deal of respect and curiosity when handling some genuine Egyptian artefacts and enjoyed making their very own shabtis (little model servants to accompany Egyptians into the Afterlife). After following an Egyptian trail around the museum galleries they had found lots to interest and enthuse them and are all keen to visit the Museum again. With free entry to the public it is a fantastic place to go and Year 4 wouldrecommend it to you!
